Southcot Mining Corporation, Tampakan Mining Corporation (together the Tampakan Group of Companies (TGC)) lodged mining claims
Western Mining Corporation (Phils) (WMCP) signed an option agreement with TGC
2002
Indophil Resources acquires an interest in the Tampakan project. Indophil Resources assumes the role of project manager and begins active exploration through Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI)
2006
Xstrata Copper exercises its option to acquire majority of the ordinary shares in Tampakan
2010
Start of the Free Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) process
Launch of the 2010 Feasibility Study. SMI completed its Environmental Impact Assessment for the Project
2013
Glencore plc merges with Xstrata and takes over management of SMI
The Environmental Compliance Certificate for the Tampakan Copper-Gold Project was issued
2014
Secured approval of the 5-year Social Development and Management Program (SDMP)
2015
Glencore plc divests its stake in SMI in favor of Indophil Resources NL which subsequently cedes majority ownership of SMI to Indophil Resources Philippines, Inc. – a Philippine owned and controlled company
2016
Received extension of the Financial and Technical Assistance Agreement (FTAA) for a period of 12 years from the expiration of the first 25 years in 2020
Obtained approval of Declaration of Mine Project Feasibility (DMPF)
2017
Obtained approval for Environment Protection and Enhancement Program and Final Mine Rehabilitation and/or Decommissioning Plan
Commenced early works and completed operationalization of base camp
2019
Obtained approval of 3-year Development and Utilization Work Program
SMI and IP Community sign Free Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) Memorandum of Agreement
National Commission of Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) En Banc approves Certificate Precondition (CP) Application
2020
National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) issued CP of Free Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC)
2021
Approved ECC for Multi-User Port Facility
2022
Obtained additional 6-year extension of the FTAA (Expiring in 2038)
